Stumbled across this page looking for a DIY solution as my 2018 F150 limited sits in the driveway with the door being unable to close. Can't imagine what -10° temps are doing to the exposed premium leather in the interior right now but it can't be good. Last time this happened I was stuck driving 15 miles to the dealership holding the wheel in one hand and the door in the other all with my two year old daughter in the car. Ford kept my truck for two days to "fix" the problem yet here I am again on Christmas Eve no less. This is in addition to my tailgate freezing issue which just dropped open on me. I'm seriously considering my own lawsuit not for out of pocket expenses but punitive damages. My truck cost $70k + and I've been without it a total of a week combined now not to mention the time dealing with the issue during work hours. It's unfathomable to me that the an issue that may never go away as long as I own this truck hasn't been met with a more significant response and class action against Ford. Where is the compensation for being stranded with children in the truck as I try incessantly to slam a frozen door shut in 10° weather. Now today is Christmas Eve and we have no vehicle to visit family. I've been a life long Ford owner with this being my 6th truck. I've dealt with plenty of Ford quality issues over the years and stayed loyal but this might be the final straw.
