I fully agree - got my second generation Prius with 142k miles and a flawless service record seven years ago and am pushing 225k miles with no issues. Only the delaminating finish on the hood and Check Engine light due to the slipping traction chain (not a safety issue) are a a concern.

Yes, the best is the storage space. I can fit my eight-foot kayak in with the back hatch closed!
