How do I tell if either of these are the case? preferably without electronic tools? Does high mileage motor oil or Marvel Mystery oil help keep the EGR cooler clean? Does old coolant cause either head gasket or pump failure? How else might I preserve the pump?
I did notice on my friend's 2013 that the top interior of the engine coolant bottle was a bit dirtier than that of the trans coolant bottle. What might that mean?
