My 2014 Explorer's sunroof would leak from the overhead console when I went through the carwash so I was advised to get the drains unblocked ($40 a crack!). Last week, following heavy rain, I found a puddle if water on the floor of the front passenger seat which then spread to the rear passenger floor under the carpet! I vacuumed up 1.5 gallons of water! I went to the garage and the mechanic thought that maybe the drains were clogged so he went to open the sunroof and it wouldnt budge. He said that it appears the motor us shot from the water! I am looking at at least a $500 bill. My point is Ford knows about this whether they admit it or not and they should own it and replace the damaged parts! I have since talked to many people whose cars ( not fords) have sunroofs and they dont leak!
