Pretty thourough defense of the Tesla in a story that doesn't say anything negative about the brand or model. I feel like you've cherry picked the parts that mention Tesla in order to prove a contrast story wrong. With regard to tires, what are trying to say exactly? That Tesla Model Y vehicles will not use three sets of tires ver 100K miles? As the story says, that is not what owners in Tesla's own forum are reporting, And it was not the only data set we used. We also used data from other mainstream vehicles we tracked over 100K miles including a Toyota crossover. We assigned the same tire change schedule to both the Y and RAV4 Prime. How is that unfair exactly? And for tire choices we chose the ones on Tire Rack that were the "OEM" brands and models for both vehicles, inother words, the same ones the manufacturers felt were the best choice. We then conclude in the story, " Most of the reason for this is tires. Had they worn the same tires, the outcome could be different. But not significantly different."Isn't that exactly what you are trying to say in your comment that accuses me of cherry picking a result? With regard to brakes, do you disagree with the analysis? I included zero as the contrasted cost for the two. What number do feel will be appropriate? And how does one find factual, real world data for a brake maintenance cost and schedule for two vehicles that have not been on the market long enough to require brake service?
