I too have had this problem with the TMPS Light. In the past when I took my Rav4 to a tire store, they checked my tires on my four wheels --- all were fine. I was told they also checked my spare tire. That was the problem. The spare needed air. Problem fixed! (I do not remember seeing this in your article about the spare tire).
