I have a used 2010 hybrid ford fusion with low odometer (36,000j and one previous elderly owner.

Dash mileage calculator shows 33mpg. Since it’s a new (to me) car I checked the actual mileage thru the standard method, stopping at the first click on fill up. I get 20 and 23 mpg. Will continued to gather mileage data at future fillips, but this is huge discrepancy is alarming. Went to 2 different gas stations. No obvious sign of fuel leak. I’m mystified.

I only this
car because it’s a hybrid and wanted the fuel efficiency.

Any thoughts?
