I knew it! This is going back to a new 2012 Legacy with a Heated Windshield; that's the problem: a cold wet windshield on the outside meets a heat element imbedded in the windshield as soon as the defrost and the wipers are turned on. SNAP and an instant crack along the entire lower portion. Subaru denied and I paid for a new one. The way they treated me made me hate the car and the dealership.
