Sounds like a terrible way to kill what 4Runner is all about. N/A v6 offers that longevity that hybrid and turbo 4 can’t offer. People buy them for reliable 300k mile suvs with true body on frame ruggedness. It would be like Mitsubishi calling the new SUV a evolution. Terrible. If anything just put a better transmission for highway mpg and call it a day. PS Koons Toyota, 54k for a 4Runner is robbery and killing the brand.
