I'm literally just hoping for a CD6 platform Mustang with Ecoboost and Ecoboost hybrid powertrains and a 4-door coupe fastback coupe option like the BMW8-series. Honestly, I could care less about the V8 engines seeing that Ford has done so much with the Ecoboost platform and they out-torque the V8 any day of the week. With Ford Partnering with VW, I would also like to see the Ecoboost V6 engines move to a hot-V twin turbo setup and the AWD systems improve on the Ford vehicles. Would also like to see Ford incorporate a version of Audi's EPC electric supercharger to reduce turbo lag. It's also time ford brought back the Inline-6 Turbo engine as another performance option. Earlier rumors stated the mustang was going to grow in size to roughly the size of the Challenger, which would have been awesome as the mustang is too small. Growing to that size would have put it on par with car's like the BMW 6 or 8 series, which would have been alot nicer because it would eliminate the use of the 2.3L, which should have never been in the Mustang anyway and would force Ford to use the 400hp 3.0L twin turbo V6 as the base engine but bumping the power up to 435hp with the Hot-V twin turbo setup. from there, a 485hp Hot-V 3.5L Ecoboost should be the next engine up, a 530hp 4.0L Inline-6 twin turbo hybrid and a 785hp 3.5L Super High Output hot-V twin turbo hybrid setup should be at the top of the gas-powered pack with a 1400hp electric vehicle above that.
