Just been on another trip to Edgewood, New Mexico from the central coast of California. Our last trip results are as follows: our overall trip average coming in at 39.5 miles per gallon average. Best 100 mile segment was 56.2 mpg, and worst 100 mile segment was 35.5 mpg average. We used up 44.125 gallons of regular unleaded fuel, covering 1,748 miles. From Ventura, CA to Edgewood, New Mexico then returning back from Edgewood, New Mexico back to Ventura, CA. Our fuel bill was $182.00 for this round-trip. Get paid by most of this gas in Autoport at my local Navy base, in Arizona and New Mexico. Average cost per gallon was $4.17. Cheaper than airfare by far.
Hope this helps bring perspective – We drive a 2021 Toyota Venza XL with currently 1,457 total miles on it.
