Sure an all-electric or mostly electric fleet will help enormously.
First, it will create a ton of new American jobs with domestic production facilities.
Second, it will create a ton of support industries in suppliers and the EV infrastructure that goes along with it.
Couple those with concomitant investments in grid infrastructure and the transition to solar and wind electricity generation and the jobs that go with that we can see a huge benefit to the economy and the environment.
Let us not forget infrastructure jobs to repair the roads and bridges, ports, flood control, airports, ports etc that have been neglected these many years. Add to that the National Parks that have been starved of funds these many years in a misguided or intentional policy of neglect to justify privatization of national assets.

We have huge possible benefits to the nation our economy and the environment if we can not lose focus and descend into ignorant debate.
