If anything you mentioned is actually true (sorry but it sounds like carefully worded flame-bait), then you should write to Subaru (in addition to taking it in to a dealer to get the condition documented) at subaru.com. You are also superimposing your opinion of a vehicle system on top of a failure condition that may have other causes.

Regardless, any safety issue isn’t something you just “leave a message” for.
