I don't have Subaru. However I am looking forward to having my first one until I read about this features which is so annoying. I don't know what Subaru engineers thinking. However this feature should be turned off by default. Or increase the idle time to 2-5 minutes or something. If some drivers are really concerned about gas consumption they can turn this feature on. This is such a easy fix. But I suspect the government is pushing the feature to save gas or save the earth.
