I drove both and went with the ID 4. Seat comfort was fast better in the VW and while smaller and easier to park and maneuver it didn't give up interior space. Overall it's a much more practical car - who needs all that speed anyway? But the Ford was impressive and quite beautiful to look at. I think the VW will speak to more people who want comfortable, reliable, simple transportation without needing or wanting the flash. But to each their own.
