Toyota needs to improve the hybrid Sienna engine to not make so much noise at medium acceleration levels. The same engine in the Camry hybrid is great at medium acceleration levels. I'm not saying this is easy to do as the Sienna is quiet a bit heavier than the Camry but if they could have the battery output to be in the 100 hp range to supplement ~160 hp from the Atkinson engine even if they gave up 1 or 2 mpg that would be great. Kind of like what they do in the RAV4 Prime. Idea: Sienna Prime using the RAV4 Prime internals. Or a little more NVH analysis optimization of the engine sound in the 3000 to 5000 rpm range. If quieter can't be achieved at least make it sound better.
