Noteworthy 2022 Toyota Camry Hybrid Has Incredible Fuel Economy Specs
2022 is a new start for the Toyota Camry Hybrid. Its refreshed body and far more aggressive styling. The thing that really caught my eye is what the fuel economy specs are. I have those numbers and more on in this article.
2022 Toyota Camry Hybrid Fuel Economy Specs
Toyota hybrids are known for their fuel economy. Albeit, the first-generation Toyota Camry hybrid was not much to talk about. Still, this new one certainly takes the cake.
An astounding 51/53/52 (City/Hwy/Cmbd) is more than I expected from a larger sedan. Toyota hybrids have now been on the market for over 20 years. In that time, we have seen some remarkable improvements with hybrid technology.
It should not come as a surprise to me that Toyota improved Camry (and all the hybrid lineup) this much, but somehow it does.
Other Notable Features
Cost is always something to consider when looking into buying a new hybrid vs. a gasoline counterpart. The Camry Hybrid does cost a little over $2,000 more. However, you almost get twice the fuel economy, and with gas at $4.00 a gallon, going hybrid makes sense.
Camry offers more options than ever before with available AWD and the performance XSE V6 model boasting a stellar 301 hp. Other 4 cylinder models range in hp from 176 to 205 depending on the trim. The hybrid system does boast the highest rating on the 4 cylinder platform at 208 hp.
Conclusion
More options, more power, and of course, better fuel economy make the new Camry and the Hybrid version a very outstanding choice when looking for a new hybrid.
I hope to soon get out and drive one, so I can report back on the stellar build quality of Toyota and the superior hybrid technology they sell.
