Try cleaning the screen edges with a credit card and press down around the screen to remove dust and grime between the display and crevice edge. There could be a tiny piece of dirt pressing the edge of screen that keeps it from responding. I read this from a YouTube person and worked for me. Hope that helps you. 2005 Prius
