Getting 40-50 mpg in a penalty box Prius is a joke today! This author is buffoon to say you should drive out of your way to increase your MPG while increasing congestion.

Our 2018 CT6 2.0E plug-in sees 37-39 mpg in hybrid mode and it is a big boat of a vehicle. But I wouldn't drive out of the way to increase mpg but plan the shortest route for the time of day.
