According to Tesla, the Model 3's first maintenance requirement is at 6,250 miles, or sooner if the tread depth of the tires is 2/32 worn or more since the prior service. You can find this in your Model 3 owners manual under the Service Interval Section. Why do you assume the Kia's is more involved? Today, the least expensive Model 3 starts at $45,190. That is if you order one and wait about 9 months. We spoke to Tesla, who told us the only one available from inventory in the Northeast this week is $71,190. If only we could all afford one.
