I love CR but something is really off on their reliability ratings for the Ascent. The 2019 had a transmission recall which sucked, but was resolved that model year. None of the individual areas on CR's reliabulity ratings for the 2021 model year score worse than 3, and most are 5! So how does 2022 get a 1/5 when the average rating for the 2021 is about 4/5?

It seems like they give major weigh to first-model year problems while ignoring that the car has been generally good after that.
