So are Subarus reliable or not? Everything I read has been flip flopping on this for the last 3 years. Supposedly the Boxer engine is and has been reliable for the last 5+ years.

But then people complain about the horribly unreliable CVT they use, and yet the CVT in the Forester is highly rated for reliability by consumer reports for the last 5+ years too.

Is it reliable or not?
