BART BERGSBAKEN (not verified)    December 17, 2024 - 5:12AM

We went on an extended vacation (5 weeks) upon our return our 2024 CrossTrek would not start. A roadside jump got us going. after driving 3 hours we stopped and the car would not start again. Another jump got us home (Sunday the dealer was not around) Monday A.M. the tow truck was called. We are told we had a bad battery. During our vacation the temperatures were not extremely cold. 25F was as low as it went.

Is there a procedure that I need to follow to leave the car for extended periods of time?
