Consumers habitually, individually & collectively, have a bell curve of jounrney langth/charging opportunities over the year.

My guess is the curves flatten out at 20% & the relevant 80% here

so if ~80% of a buyer's day's annual jouneys fall under the battery range of a home charged phev, it seems an absolute bargain to get the plug in model

~free fuel, low maint, calm driving, long life & perhaps above all - no range anxiety or charging delays on journeys

~the first 100 miles is free.
