The charging to 80% is better for the battery is a nonsense, this is taken care of by the battery management system. You arent charging to 100% of battery capacity , you are charging to 100% of what the maker lets you use (remember Tesla magically turning on more range for people fleeing a hurricane?)

I wonder how many have actually timed the last 20%?
