Planet Subaru actually had
Planet Subaru actually had the reservation system information posted Jan 15th, but (in my opinion) either quality or legal issues (like whether they can sell in MA) with the reservation system are ongoing. I was all ready to reserve one or two Solterra's (credit card by my computer and script running to alert me to website changes), but the more I look at it, the more disappointed I am. In addition to the muscular-shoulder meets Honda Element styling, I really dislike the Prius-like interior with no lockable storage (everything out in the open just asking for smash-and-grabs) and no indication of tie downs in the rear. What was totally missed in this story is how limited the production will be this year. Only a bit over 6,000 will be produced and they are being divided (like bob said) between all the participating dealers. So it may be another year before you can even test drive one if you don't get on the reservation list and find a dealer that doesn't have their allotment already taken up (don't settle with being on a "wait list"). I'm still looking for information about whether the bZ4X will be widely available so I can at least test drive one, but Toyota has been super-tight-lipped. I may just have to wait on the Toyota EV Truck instead -- hopefully it will be "normal".
