Good luck.
I hope you did your homework first.
Subaru has not had the best track record, when it comes to reliability and quality control is inconsistent between models. To buy something based on gut feeling, or emotional purchase is frankly dangerous.
There's a valid reason why Toyota and Honda are the biggest sellers. It's not price, or fun factor.
It's consistent reliability, on average. Which equates to less time in the repair shop and, on average, lower total cost of ownership.
I'm making a point - people shouldn't reward companies for putting out substandard products.
Unless you just lease cars and have no intention of owning it past the lease period, then I would still not consider any Subaru. The same issues that plague a model year are repeated into the next. Sloppy.
Nobody is arguing that they have a stellar drivetrain system. They do - it's amazing.
But that doesn't override nasty quality control complaints that continue to pop-up..
I don't care about how great a brand new car is.
Your experience does not represent the average.
Consumer Reports be damned. As far as I'm concerned, they dropped the ball a few years ago, when recommending the Forester that was chalk full of problems. Their sample was not indicative of average.
