Totally agree with you on Emira > Evija. Nobody needs a 2000 horsepower road car, but I guess it's done because they can and because it generates headlines for Lotus's move to electrification. Still, not exactly true to Chapman's "simplify and add lightness" ethos is it? At least it's not an SUV though...
