It is not bribery that is dissuading most media from praising and supporting Tesla, it is advertising. That may not apply to your reviews, but it definitely does to most media that has been doing biased reporting against Tesla. Sure Tesla is not perfect, and has it's flaws, and does not support media events and promotions. But there are so many biased news and media articles targeting Tesla, from fires and Autopilot issues, to poor reviews, to snubbing awards. The fact is that the Tesla models get the people's vote. As people vote with their wallet. Tesla won 67% of EV sales in the U.S. and is similarly successful worldwide. GM in contrast has 9% of the market, but currently has no affordable EVs for sale in the U.S. I am a Tesla supporter, but not a zealot. And I am generally a big supporter of ALL EVs, so I easily recognize that Tesla's competition is heating up now, and will get tougher over the next few years. Tesla's prices have climbed sharply over the last year, and they still do not get the government subsidies that other automakers do, which leaves them at a $7K-$18K price disadvantage compared to later entrants to the EV market. But that does not appear to be slowing Tesla sales. The good news is that new EV competition will only make things better for EV buyers, with more choices, once this parts supply mess is resolved.
