The "story" here is not the features that have been around for many years in many forms, but how much Toyota is going to charge for you to have access to these features -- including the "home" display on your car (bZ4X and Solterra, because the Solterra is all-Toyota electronics) to get rid of the nag-screen that just says "subscribe" (as seen in many cars at the various auto shows). Toyota has been on a major push to build recurring revenue through subscription-based features (as have other auto makers) and they mask how bad it is by giving you a "free" subscription for a few years before revealing how much you're going to be paying them to continue to use the features inside your own car.
