Just got my Rav4 last month. On a recent road trip through Washington State, I was averaging 45-46mpg. For a certain 20mi stretch of rural 50mph hwy with gently rolling hills I averaged an astonishing 67mpgs. The article is spot on about the way you drive greatly affecting mpgs though. 90mph on the Idaho interstate brought my average back down to 32mpg. Am averaging about 42mpg combined city/hwy driving back home where the speed limits are about 10mph faster then in WA. Overall better than EPA estimates and quite happy with the 600+ miles of range!
