Toyota added the auto interior light feature on the 2004 Gen2 Prius along with many other advancements like variable speed electric ac compressors in part to justify the vehicles higher price compared to standard cars. By 2010, Prius had an option for Dynamic Radar Cruise Control, Pre-Collision Braking System, Lane Keep and Intelligent Parking Assist. Today these features and more are standard in most models.
