I don't know if I necessarily put all the blame on Subaru. Toyota owns 40 percent of Subaru. They are the largest shareholder. This gives them immense leverage in the board room. I find it peculiar that the king of the rally inspired segment ( STi) gets canceled at the last minute despite being rumored to be 90 percent ready to go then Toyota unveils a rally car of their own just days after.
