The ability to sell the Cybertruck has more to do with how Tesla has diminished the value of its other models than the actual sale of their truck. As a early top 1,000 reservation holder, my 1.5 yr old Model Y which was meant as a placeholder vehicle until the truck came out now has -$10,000 of equity due to price cuts on new Y sales. I would love the truck more than anything but I'm not willing to give away $10k in order to do so. The reality of having to roll negative equity into a new vehicle real, especially with the history to show the probability of it happening again is high. Self inflicted wound on the part of Tesla
