Charged our 2023 Rav4 prime xse for the first time last week and the display indicated full charge and a 34 mile range. Left on a long trip (over 400mi) to the Sierra Nevada (Jackson, Amador County, Calif.) leaving from the coast and got a combined 45.8mpg on the way over.
I'm still not convinced whether the car display data or the displayed 34 mile range is accurate or not but 34mi. is a lot less than the 42mi. range claimed on the window sticker. The Manual ( a 2022 version) says the electric only range will vary for the first 200 miles of repeated full charging. Only got one key fob which is driving the wife mad. Toyota says we'll get an additional fob in a couple of years (2024-5). Supply chain issues according to Toyota. The 2022 manual doesn't cover a lot of the controls on our car so we are flying by stick a good portion of the time.
The dealer ____did-not____ supply this car with a full electric charge. The battery was pretty well flat.
They did supply a full tank of fuel.
It had about 250 miles already on the odometer when we bought it.
The dealer had no explanation for any of those miles.
