Just Announced - Toyota Extends New Vehicle Connected Services Trial

Find out how long your new Toyota connected services trial lasts. It is a long time.

New Toyota owners may be happy with the recent Toyota announcement about connected services benefits. Free trials for some services have been extended – in a big way.

Toyota has announced a free trial extension for two of their connected services. Safety Connect and Service Connect, both valuable post-purchase features, are available as a free trial for up to 10 years.

These are each important for customers and provide essential peace of mind, as well as ensuring vehicles are running smoothly and safely for up to a decade.

Yes, that is right. For 10 years.

Toyota Safety Connect

Safety Connect includes services to help keep passengers and vehicles safe and secure. Included benefits are 24-hour enhanced roadside assistance, automatic collision notification, stolen vehicle locator, and 24-hour emergency assistance.

For me the one that stands out is the emergency assistance feature. A Toyota call center will be notified if the vehicle airbags are deployed or if there is a serious rear-end collision. An operator will attempt to contact the driver and can then send emergency personnel if needed.

Toyota Service Connect

The Toyota Service Connect provides maintenance reminders, vehicle health reports, and vehicle maintenance alerts.

This information about your vehicle can be sent to customers via email or through the Toyota Owners’ Account or the Toyota App.

Look for important reminders such as recall and service campaigns, vehicle alerts and warning messages, and regular service and maintenance information.

What Toyota Vehicles are Impacted?

All Toyota models that have already received or that will be getting the new Toyota Audio Multimedia system will be receiving up to 10 years of Safety Connect and Service Connect.

• 2023 Corolla Hatchback

More Toyota models may be added at a later date, but this is the (quite comprehensive) list to-date.

Toyota lists these extended Safety Connect and Service connect trial periods as “up to 10 years” due to 4G network dependability.
