Sure, everybody wants to save a buck. Since we are talking oil filters here, I buy my oil filters from the dealership. For my 2009 Toyota Corolla, I bought factory oil filters. These are the cartridge type with a rubber O-ring included with every filter. The filters were 2 for $10.70. I couldn't buy these filters cheaper locally at other auto parts stores. Sure you could buy a cheaper filter, but it wasn't a Toyota. Been driving GM vehicles for a few years now. I get them at the dealership. I keep/kept the receipts for my filter purchases, both GM and Toyota. Thanks for these informative articles Timothy. We share the same hair color, but you have more than I. Generations of knowledge here!!
