So you think an ICE vehicle that pollutes during production, pollutes by design the entire time it's in use, and pollutes even after being scrapped while rotting in a junkyard somewhere is what? SAVING the planet? Within 30,000km every ton of co² created during the production of an EV has been offset by driving it. Most countries where EV's matter have switched or in the process of switching to entirely green or at least non-emitting power production. Where I live 93% of all power is derived from renewables and non-emitting with a vast surplus of power generated per year. Already in the decade where gas/coal energy production was phased out smog advisories that used to be 53 a year are reduced to zero with no shortage of grid power whatsoever.

The other thing you'll say is "lithium mining" as that's the go to for everyone afraid of change. Currently Saltan Sea is scaling up its production. This highly polluted body of water is getting tons of geothermal generation setup. The byproduct of this generation is a sludge that is full of lithium. The only byproduct of its production is liquid chlorine (which there is a shortage of currently) and hydrogen (which can be used as another source of clean burning fuel). Scaled up, it will produce the equivilent of the entire earth's current lithium production at one site and almost totally green.

But of course, that doesn't fit your narrative, so you must badmouth anything you have zero understanding of based on a couple of sites you saw with inaccurate info.
