A typical car battery last from 5 to 8 years. Mileage driven also determines how long it last. Anywhere fro 50,000 miles or more. I bought a new car that apparently had a defective battery. It died in 6 months. Batteries aren’t warranted bu the car company but the battery manufacturer. Usually 1 year replacement and then prorated after that.
