the correct fix for this issue is to buy a new engine from new years 2017 or so, and drop them in. there are replacement guides on prius chat forums. simply selling it is just tossing the issue onto someone else and avoiding responsibility if you'd like to feel good about your karma. new engine this way is cheaper than alternatives, maybe $2k for engine and add labor.
