The Tesla model X can tow 5k lbs and I know there are some others (I think some of the luxury SUV plug-ins for example). I assume you might agree with me though that we need a plug-in hybrid pickup that costs less than $50k (or less than $40k in base/work truck form) that can haul and tow as much or more than ICE equivalents. Getting 30-40 miles of range on battery and they reasonably good MPG after that.
