My very first Toyota was a 1990 4Runner, and while it had its shortcomings, it was 100% reliable. I've driven the current gen, and yes, it too has faults, but the damn thing is indestructible, I knew we wouldn't see the next gen in 22 or 23, I did expect it in 24. Now I'm confident we'll see a reveal in 24 with an early 25 release date. Ironically, my son is awaiting a 24 TRD Pro in Terra, hopes to keeo it a good long time.
