Let's be clear. These are not criticism of the car. The STI and WRX are well designed and well built performance vehicles. As you say, these are a reflection of their operation, which has 25-35 male irresponsibility stuck to it like a very long skid mark. If any other manufacturer builds an AWD 6 speed turbo platform in this price range, these statistics are likely similar. Unfortunately, those of us who are older, more seasoned and more responsible are paying inflated insurance rates.
