We have owned a 2022 Chrysler Pacifica PHEV for the past 2 years and it operates the same as the Volt. It will use all battery power first before switching to hybrid mode and pushing heavily on the accelerator does not engage the gas engine. We completely love our Pacifica and how it operates. We also have a 2019 Kia Sorento that we would love to upgrade to a Sorrento PHEV but only if they change how it operates to that of like the Volt or Pacifica. I would absolutely buy one if it had a slightly larger battery pack and the proper size electric motor or proper software to have it operate solely on electricity until all battery power is depleted.
