Cost of goods will either make or break Lucid. Hopefully they are taking some other pages out of Teslas playbook. Tesla is winning because they make a decent product and keep making it cheaper and they like to argue better. One thing you can’t argue about is their unrelenting march of driving costs down.

Tesla entered a market with almost no competition and had some healthy prices and margins. Lucid will be entering a more mature market and will have to compete. The good news is if their costs is comparable to the model Y they can probably swing some sales with a more premium product. The timing will be such that the refreshed model Y will have been out for awhile and they could be the new cool kid on the block.
