I test drove a 2023 Outback Touring XT with 7,000 miles on it at our local Subaru dealer and was disappointed with the brake feel and performance. So much so that I asked them to take it out for themselves after we left. We have a 2022 Legacy Limited XT and it definitely feels better (though not as good as some other midsize sedans we own). The Outback also didn't feel as responsive to the accelerator pedal, but perhaps that's just par for the course, I'm not sure. The ride, seat comfort and apparent build quality were great, however.
