I mistakenly bought a 2023 QX50. The car is great except for the CVT. You cannot drive this car smoothly. The transmission 'shifts' just as the engine reaches peak torque to a higher 'gear' where there is much less torque. This results in a very unusual feeling that the engine has power then the engine has no power. So you press the accelerator a bit harder and the engine surges and 'shifts' to a different a lower 'gear'. All this on a continuously variable unit. I have no idea why the Infiniti engineers had to give a CVT 8 different 'gears'. My Subaru Forester has a CVT and is always smooth and predictable.
I spent $58,000 on this car and am looking forward to getting rid of it soon.
