I currently have 207,000 miles on my 2015 Forester. It is a base model, which I had to order from the factory since these are not available from dealer's lots here in Phoenix. It's not a matter of price -- the base model is the only way to avoid getting a sun-roof (the last thing anybody wants in this hot climate), and to not have the gas-mileage penalty associated with roof rails. Also, only the base model comes without tinted windows (which I hate).

The 2025 touch screen would likely drive me nuts. I'm hoping that the base model will at least have a smaller one. Until the website includes build details for the four new Forester trims we will not be able to make a decision.
