It would be interesting to see how the BRZ compares with its sibling, the GR86, which seems to attract the younger demographic buyer, due it's more aggressive looks and suspension tuning. As far as performance numbers of the 2nd gen BRZ and new WRX, a simple Google search shows that in reality the BRZ is faster to 60, and more telling, a faster quarter mile and speed. Yes, despite the horsepower difference, between the two cars, the WRX is considerably heavier, by 400 lbs, to the lightweight BRZ, and despite the initial launch advantage of the WRX all wheel drive, the extra weight and drivetrain loss also factors in. Check out U-drags on YouTube, they dragged both against each other multiple times, and the BRZ came out on top. The real horsepower of the BRZ is also likely very conservative, lots of independent dynos have the car putting down 230 HP at the wheels, so actually considerably more at the crank. Yes the WRX will be more tunable, due to turbos, but the 2nd gen twins are now legit pretty quick.
