I built where there were no roads. I use 4x4 often. You may not. But having the option sure beats not having it. Oh, diesel motors don't use sparkplugs. They use compression for combustion. If you don't want to pay more than 60k, you'll need to buy an old truck. Even the basic fleet trucks as you're calling them in GM or Ford are more than that, now. Or, keep what you have and run it till the tires fall off.
